Hello!!! I am Debleena and I simply love to travel the globe and be in the arms of nature and enjoy it's serenity. While I would like to share my experiences about all the trips I did but as of now I will be sharing my 12 days short trip to Thailand. 4 nights krabi, 4 nights Phuket and 3 nights Bangkok!
Day 1> Reach Krabi and relax
Day 2> 4 Islands Tour by Speedboat
Day 3> Hong Island Tour by Sppedboat
Day 4> Emerald pool and Jungle Safari
Day 5> Reach Phuket and relax
Day 6> Phi Phi Islands
Day 7> James Bond Island
Day 8> Similan Island
Day 9> Reach Bangkok and Relax
Day 10> Shopping
Day 11> One day Coral Island Tour
Day 12> Bangkok Zoo
Well, whenever someone talks about Thailand the first thought that pops everyone that yes we have landed into the city of parties but yes Thailand has more to offer than just parties and pubs.
Close your eyes and imagine there is water in front of u completely blueish green, the sands totally white and some colorful fishes in the water. The sky above is blue and birds chirping nearby and it seems as if you are in paradise! Well you are in Thailand :)
I first took my flight to Bangkok and then I fly directly to Krabi. So I had a connecting flight that took me to Krabi via Bangkok. There are other options as well. You can book an overnight bus that will take you directly to Krabi from Bangkok. It generally departs around 5 to 6 pm in evening from Bangkok and reaches Krabi early morning next day. So one can choose any options. Just a piece of info for bagpackers bus journey will save a night in hotel.
Krabi
I did a little bit of research and I found out the best place to stay in Krabi in Ao Nang Beach. So just go to booking.com or Expedia.com and book a room in a hotel/hostel in Ao nang area close to beach. This is the most happening place in Krabi.
NO hurry To book tickets in advance !!
Never book a single trip in advance as there are so many travel agencies in Ao nang area that you can simply bargain and get in much cheaper rates there itself instead of purchasing tickets online or from our home countries.
I stayed for 3 nights in Krabi and I did a little research and I already had 3 places to visit.
Next day I went To Hong Island and it has one of the best Underwater world in Asia. As you would do snorkeling you will see plenty of fishes in different colors all swimming along with you and also the colorful corals and sea urchins and many more. One cannot believe unless witnessed in own eyes. Also a perfect place for sun bath and swim and relax. If you would love to get little tanned, this is the perfect place. use a tanning lotion and dip into the water or sand !
Next day we went for Emerald pool. Here there is a natural Jacuzzi which is the hot water spring and then this beautiful Emerald Pool where the water is just 5 ft deep and one can just dip inside the water and spend sometime relaxing amidst nature. The day ends with Jungle safari where you can expolre Krabi forest side as well.
From Krabi I took a private transport that takes me to Phuket. It is just 2.5 hours drive and you are in Phuket, the largest island in Thailand.
Phuket
Like Krabi I did a little google and found out that staying in Patong Beach near Bangla Street will be the best place to stay to enjoy the best nightlife of Phuket which I must say is way far better than over hyped Pattaya.
NO hurry To book tickets in advance !!
I wrote the same as in Thailand never ever book tickets in advance as there are many many tourist agencies in just few metres distance and so bargaining and getting cheap rates is easy there.
First day I enjoyed the nightlife in Bangla street. I preferred hitting a pub and having a beer while watching people dancing playing magic on the streets as well as lots of other activities :P
Next 3 days again I was in this beach trance.
I visited these 3 different places and I recommend everyone not to miss eithet.
James Bond island is also very beautiful when it comes to the beaches.
Similan Islands offers one of the best beaches in the world. This is very beautiful beach destination in the world which one should not miss in their lifetime. It offers one of the best marine underwater world. There is a place to do rock climbing and have a view of the entire island from the top which gives a helicopter view!
Then time to come back to Bangkok! I had my flight to Bangkok.
Bangkok
I did a little bit of research and found out that it is best to stay in Sukumvit area. i opted to stay in a hotel near Nana MTR. There are 2 shopping malls one should not miss. Siam Center is the biggest shopping mall in Asia and there is Madame Tussauds and also there are my favorite brands- Victoria Secrets, Sephora and many more. Terminal 11 is also a very good shopping mall where the food court is really great. Indra Market is also famous for local cheap Thai goods. One day I invested totally in shopping. For transport one can use MTR which is fast and convenient or metered taxi which is also cheap and fast if not stuck in traffic as Bangkok is famous for it's bad traffic.
Madame Tussauds: Siam Discovery
Next day I went to One day Coral Island day tour from Bangkok including Ocean walking activity. This is a unique experience as you walk on the ocean filled with many colorful fishes. There was a tour desk in my hotel and the beautiful lady called Zia helped me to arrange this this day trip.
Last day I went to Bangkok Zoo and spent quality time with Dolphins. I took a metered taxi which took me to Zoo and I bought tickets there and I had a fun day there.
In evening came back to hotel, took my luggage and headed straight to airport where I had my flight back to India.
So that is my short itenary for Thailand for 12 days.
I believe that the best book is found in between the first and last pages of the passport. So lets make that colorful - Love Debleena
