A DAY TRIP TO MOUNT TITLIS
Paradise is a not a place but a feeling, and I am lucky that I have witnessed that; the beauty of Mother Nature.
Sitting in 2021 almost a year in House Arrest I am recalling my last Travel to Beautiful Switzerland on Oct 2019. People make big planned trips to Switzerland but I must say that all you need to make an impromptu trip to your dream place.
RIGHT TIME TO VISIT MOUNT TITLIS
The best time to visit Mount Titlis is Summer which is from June and lasts till August. But if someone is interested in skiing then the best time in January and February. But no season is a perfect time to witness the beauty of Mother Nature!
Well we have decided to hit the place in October, though it's not a tourist season but I must say Switzerland is evergreen 365 days and there is no particular time to visit the place as every spring, fall, summer and winter has its individual charm that brings Live and Oxygen to one's soul to rejuvenate in the arms of Mother nature experiencing its calm and serenity.
HOW TO PLAN YOUR STAY TO VISIT MOUNT TITLIS
It's worth mentioning that Weather App in Switzerland works really great and so one can get to know it will be cloudy or sunny or rainy and at what time it will rain and so you can plan your stay in Switzerland. I chose for a Mount Titlis Trip on a semi sunny day. It was windy and extremely cold but the beauty of Nature reminded me of the movie August Rush where the protagonist used to find music everywhere even in Nature: " The poetry of earth is never Dead".
All you need to book your return flight/train tickets and hotel in advance. Rest you can plan in an impromptu way. The fun is to explore a place while traveling. It says that Unplanned Roads lead to more adventurous and beautiful destinations.
To most people's surprise there is a small town called ENGELBERG from where one needs to take the Ropeway to reach the ever beautiful Mount Titlis.

ENGELBERG is an alpine town in Central Switzerland known for its mesmerizing landscapes, scrumptious Cheese, Swiss Chocolates and humble hospitality.
HOW TO REACH MOUNT TITLIS
It s very easy to reach ENGELBERG from Zurich or Luzern or Interlaken. It's advisable to Take Swiss Pass be it's Half Day Card or Swiss Travel Pass. I will write a separate blog on how to choose which pass is cheap and effective for your stay in Switzerland. :)
Its just a 2 and half hours journey from Zurich and a 50 mins Journey from Luzern. Once you reach the station, all you just need to get out of the station and open your eyes as you will find yourself in the vicinity of the beautiful Lake of Trüebsee whose beauty will make you feel that you are now Alice in Wonderland! :)

Now it's just a matter of few steps and you will reach Mount Titlis Cable Car Station where you need to take the Ropeway that will take to you direct in Swiss Alps, one of the finest places I have seen in my life.

TITLIS ROTAIR is the World's First revolving cable car. It rotates its way up towards the snow-covered summit of TITLIS.
For the cable car section of the journey, it was very simple to follow the signs on the way up and any time I was unsure, the staff were very helpful. If you get the 2-day pass I mentioned earlier, then you just need to show that at the first cable car station and they will give you a pass for the cable cars.

Journey to Mount Titlis is full of thrill and offers fantastic 360 degrees of view in the cable car and once you are on top you have have the magnificent view of the mountains and the valley. There is a halt in between where one can get down and witness the nature and then continue the journey up the summit.

The journey itself is so blissful and the beauty of nature kept me mesmerized, to feel that I am the blessed one to witness Paradise being alive.

WHAT TO DO ! OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Well, now it's Fun! Too much fun! You will see only Snow as mesmerizing as Heaven on Earth. The beautiful bluish sky, the dark dense cloud and as the sun rays reflecting like a mirror on the Alps peaks.

The scintillating view of the entire picturesque made me awestruck filled with amazement even after months coming from the place. The white glacier and the breathtaking view made me realized that
Mount Titlis has her own charm and one can actually relish that when he will be there surrendering himself in the hands of Mother Nature.
The prismatic view of the white and rocky mountains along with the changing hues of the Swiss Horizon is an added perk of visiting Mount Titlis. You can see the sky changing colors, sometimes sunny and its blue and then wind comes and it becomes cloudy with chilling wind touching your face and you will feel sometimes Sun-kissed and sometimes Wind-kissed :) but I must say that the Feeling is heavenly.
I played a lot in snow and enjoyed it as much as I can and trust me in minutes tourists will become friends and you will start enjoying in the Neverland!

Alps know secrets we need to learn, that it might take time, it might be hard, but if you just hold on long enough, you will find the strength to rise up!
Do not follow where the path may lead, Go Instead, Where There is No Path And Leave a Trail.
Adopt the pace of nature, Her Secret is PATIENCE.
You can buy Ice Flyer Tickets also with your Cable Car tickets. There are discounts in many sites , so one can check that. Experiencing Ice Flyer is like a Dream Come True. It will take you from on Alps to another and the Journey is as exciting and fascinating as it's thrilling and gripping. The enchanting views of nature gave me a rush of adrenaline and the fresh memory of it will stay with me and will die with me too :)
The place attracts a lot of Skiing lovers especially in Winters when the thick snow covers the steep shoulders of the peak. Tourists engage themselves in other activities like Winter Walking, Snowshoeing, Biking, Zip-lining and scootering.
One can choose to take the trails and hike around the mountain in summer with friends and family to add a little more challenge to the Mountain expedition. :)

Check the Weather Conditions a day before your trip to Mount Titlis no matter in which season you visit the Alps.
Mount Titlis is a Day Trip. Keep 3-4 hours apart from the traveling time for enjoying the place to the fullest.

I feel myself blessed to witness Mount Titlis that stands out as one of the highest Alpine hill-stations situated between the cantons of Obwalden and Bern. The bewitching beauty of the place will compel me to visit it again and again !
